What you’ll learn: If you’re a beginner surfer or have never surfed before, you’ll learn the basics of surfing, ocean safety and catching waves. You’ll learn board control in shallow water, paddling and catching white water waves, standing/pop-up techniques and reading the ocean (weather, tides, rips…) If you’re an intermediate surfer already catching your own waves, you’ll work on improving your existing skills. Improve paddling and positioning techniques to catch unbroken waves, control and change the speed and direction of the board, negotiate wave zone-paddling, read the waves/surfers, and exit strategy when required. If you’re an advanced intermediate level, a strong paddler and consistently catch unbroken waves and surf down the line, you’ll learn more advanced skills. From positioning to finding the fastest trimming line, how and when to perform turns, take off on an angle and maneuver decision-making to duck diving and advanced turtle rolls. What’s included: We provide beginner surfboards for intro/beginner levels. If you have your own board and would like to improve on it, we recommend you bring it. Certified and trained surf coach.
